At 19 years and 124 days old, New York Islanders prospect Oliver Wahlstrom became the youngest Islander to make his NHL debut since Nino Niederreiter at 18 years and 31 days old back on October 9, 2010.
In his debut against the reigning Stanley Cup champions St. Louis Blues, Wahlstrom looked confident and refused to not be noticed.
Wahlstrom recorded just over 15 minutes of ice-time (including powerplay time), two shots, and a hit. If you watched the game, you noticed the 6-foot-1 winger right away as he was finishing his checks and was all over the ice.
