It was a disappointing year for New York Islanders Anthony Beauvillier. With 28 points in 81 games, the former first-rounder took a step back in his third NHL season.
The 2018-19 season was supposed to be a big one for Beau. After ending the 2017-18 season on fire next to buddy Mathew Barzal, the winger was expected to have a big year under new management and coaching. That never materialized.
It couldn’t have come at a worse time for Beauvillier with his entry-level deal expiring at the end of the 2018-19 season.
