After not playing for almost a week the New York Islanders came out and showed impressive effort today against the New York Rangers. Michael Dal Colle made his NHL debut in this game, so that was the biggest story before puck drop.
After puck drop, it was all about Mathew Barzal and Anthony Beauvillier. Beau got the Isles on the board first with his sixth goal of the season. He slotted in on that second line due to the Josh Bailey and Andrew Ladd injuries.
Kevin Hayes tied it up for the Rangers later in the period but that score only lasted two minutes.
