It’s been a very good start for New York Islanders prospects thus far. Noah Dobson and Bode Wilde are off to hot starts and now you can add this year’s first-round pick, Oliver Wahlstrom, into the fold too.
He made his collegiate debut this past weekend and already has made a difference. He scored two goals in the first period alone of an 8-1 beatdown of New Brunswick.
That kind of quick start was good enough to take home the rookie of the week honor, which shouldn’t be a surprise. Wahlstrom is a natural goal-scoring winger.
