When you hear that the New York Islanders could add a defenseman who once put up 34 points in a season in the NHL and looked on the rise to a budding talent, normally without context you’d be happy. But, when Arthur Staple reported that the Islanders weren’t interested in Slava Voynov fans breathed a sigh of relief.
Voynov has spent the last three years in the KHL after leaving the Kings in 2014-2015. There’s a good reason as to why Voynov isn’t on an NHL roster.
