Yesterday, we found out from Arthur Staple that the New York Islanders will be hiring Lou Lamoriello to run the Islanders hockey operations. This was something that was rumored for a while but with Staple and his sources confirming, Islanders fans were extremely happy.
It’s understandable why fans would have such a big reaction to this hire. For starters, Lou has won three Stanley Cups with the New Jersey Devils and helped turn the Toronto Maple Leafs around very quickly.
Also, anyone who isn’t Garth Snow being in charge gives fans hope that things are actually changing for the better.
