New York Islanders Daily Links: PA Parenteau Returns

The Islanders made a good depth signing yesterday bringing back PA Parenteau. Parenteau originally played 2 years with the Islanders, the 2010-2011 season and 2011-2012 season. He signed a 1 year $1.25 million contract yesterday.

Arthur Staple writes how PA always expected to come back to “Long Island” to play. A big reason why he signed was due to the major improvements the team had compared to when he was here the first time.

In Parenteau’s first stint with the Islanders he showed good chemistry playing with John Tavares. Coming off a 20 goal season last year Jack Capuano may look to rekindle the old chemistry.
