New York Islanders Daily: Johnny Boychuk To Have Surgery

Related Topics: Johnny Boychuk, Surgery

2017-2018 was a down year for Johnny Boychuk. The New York Islanders veteran d-man only produced 18 points. It was his lowest point total since 2011-2012 and it was the fewest amount of games he’s played since 2009-2010.

We finally got an explanation for the down year out of Johnny. It was a nagging injury, which kept him out in January, that hindered his season.

Boychuk will have surgery today that will hopefully have him healed by June, according to Arthur Staple. Injuries have been an unfortunate part of Johnny’s career.

Boychuk has never played a full season in his 11-year career.
