New York Islanders Daily: Jack Capuano is Back

Former New York Islanders head coach Jack Capuano is going to be reprising his role from the World Cup of Hockey for Team USA as an assistant for Detroit’s Jeff Blashill at this summer’s IIHF World Championship.

The Islanders let go of their long-time coach back in January of this year. After over six years behind the bench Capuano was let go after the team was toiling at the bottom of the Eastern Conference just one year removed from their first playoff series win in 23 years.

For a while it seems that Capuano might emerge as the Vegas Golden Knight’s first head coach in the franchises history.
