New York Islanders Daily: Casey Cizikas Put On IR

Yesterday, the New York Islanders made a decision with Casey Cizikas’ injury. After not playing since November 25th, the Islanders elected to put him on IR retroactive to that date.

Cizikas suffered a lower-body injury in the Islanders 2-1 over the Ottawa Senators nine days ago. He has yet to even practice since then which is part of the reason why the Isles elected to toss him on IR. Cizikas is able to come off of IR whenever the Islanders feel he’s ready to return.

So far, Alan Quine has filled the role of Casey Cizikas just fine.
