On October 8, the New York Islanders lost to the Edmonton Oilers. During that game, Casey Cizikas aggravated a nagging lower-body injury which kept him out for the Isles next game against the Hurricanes.
Before the Isles would take on the Blues on Columbus Day, Casey Cizikas was put on IR retroactively. Yesterday, Cizikas returned to practice for his first skate since that Oilers game.
Despite practicing, he remains on IR and there isn’t a real timetable for his return just yet. Barry Trotz liked what he saw from his fourth line center.
