Brock Nelson has had a great season thus far. He showed all New York Islanders fans what he is capable of. Everything Nelson has been doing right this season was summed up in his performance against the New York Rangers.
Nelson was all over the ice for the Islanders. Nelson showed offensive prowess and caused all sorts of problems for the Rangers. His goal showed how much of a threat he can be around the net.
But Nelson made a tremendous defensive play late in the game. With under a minute left and the Rangers’ net empty, Nelson stripped Anthony DeAngelo of the puck and took it all the way behind the net to set up Clutterbuck to seal the game with a 7-5 lead.
