New York Islanders Best And Worst of Jack Capuano

For seven seasons the Ne York Islanders had a single voice behind the bench. For seven seasons Jack Capuano, the mulleted wonder was tasked with coaching a Garth Snow managed team into a winner.

And for the most part…that didn’t happen. Capuano took the New York Islanders to the playoffs on three occasions in seven years. And won a single playoff series. In those seven years, he had a 227-192-64 record. Or a .469 win percentage. Ranking him behind Al Arbour (.493), Peter Laviolette (0.487) and even Steve Sterling (0.474).

In terms of his legacy on Long Island, he’ll be remembered for a middling win ratio and a smidge of success in the postseason.
