Through two games, Anthony Beauvillier is flying on the ice for the New York Islanders and playing tough on the rebounds. Surely, some of this has to do with his continued pairing with perennial scrapper, Leo Komorav.
Additionally, Derick Brassard’s play seems to draw a comparison to Val Filppula’s play last season, experienced and solid. While both Brassard and Filppula last year are no longer the players they once were, they still play (and played) an important role with the Islanders.
But Tito has the chance to be electric. It’s safe to say that most Islanders fans forgot this last year, as he seemed bogged down in a mire of underachieving.
