When it comes to former New York Islanders draft picks plying their trade in Russia, there’s one name on everybody’s lips; Ilya Sorokin. To date, he’s dodged the NHL, and the Islanders, while firmly planting himself as the top goalie outside of the NHL.
But according to one rumor, it seems that New York Islanders former fourth-round pick in 2019, Anatoly Golishev, is planning on joining the Isles this offseason.
After the Jan Kovar failed experiment, I can understand how some fans aren’t going to celebrate another KHL import, even if he was drafted by the team just a few years ago.
