The 2018-19 NHL season is almost here. There’s a ton to be worried about as the New York Islanders are set to open the 2018-19 season in just a few weeks time.
Will goaltending be an issue again? Robin Lehner and Thomas Greiss both had terrible years in 2017-18. In 28 games played for the Isles, Greiss allowed almost four goals against per game on average (3.82GAA). Through 50 starts Lehner held a 3.02GAA and .905SV%. The Sabres didn’t qualify him and let him become a UFA.
Will the defense be improved over what we saw in 2017-18?
