Lightning's Condra out after check of Isles' Cizikas

TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Lightning forward Erik Condra was injured and needed assistance off the ice during the first period of Game 1 of this second-round series against the New York Islanders on Wednesday at Amalie Arena.

Condra was clearly dazed as he lay on the ice after a massive hit by the Islanders' Casey Cizikas at 4:45.

The two were racing for a puck in Tampa's zone to the right of Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop.

As soon as Condra touched the puck to make a breakout pass, Cizikas, at full speed, made a clean body check, sending Condra back-first into the corner boards.
