Rookie Kieffer Bellows recorded the first two NHL goals of his career to propel the Islanders to a 5-3 win over the Kings on Thursday night at Barclays Center. It was the 14th straight game, dating back to last season, that the Islanders came away with at least one point in Brooklyn.
It seemed as though whenever the Kings looked as if they were about to run away with the game, the Islanders managed to net a timely goal to keep themselves in it. Heading into the final period trailing 3-2, Matt Martin scored just 23 seconds in to tie the game.
