PHILADELPHIA — It would have been hard for the Islanders to lose this one.
As much as their putrid power play tried to undercut a terrific even-strength performance, the Islanders got two big goals from Josh Bailey in the final four minutes of regulation to take a 4-2 win over the Flyers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Islanders (43-25-7) were coming off consecutive shutout losses for the first time since 2011, suffering a 5-0 defeat to the Bruins at home on Tuesday and a 4-0 loss up in Montreal on Thursday.
