ST. LOUIS — Right wing Jordan Eberle returned to the Islanders’ lineup on Saturday night against the Blues at Enterprise Center after missing four games with an upper-body injury.
He was re-inserted on Brock Nelson’s top line with captain Anders Lee and Eberle, who had a goal and three assists in the four games before getting hurt, was hoping to quickly re-find that chemistry.
“We really started playing well, we started to find each other,” Eberle said. “It stinks to get hurt and have to sit back.”
Eberle, in the final season of a six-year, $36-million deal and a 20-goal scorer the previous five seasons, entered Saturday with just seven goals and 10 assists in 35 games.
