John Tavares, New York Islanders buried by Detroit Red Wings in OT (Highlights)

Trailing 3-2 with just a little over five minutes to go in regulation, it looked as though the New York Islanders three-game winning streak was over. But then Josh Bailey come up huge, tallying his fourth of the season with a little over four minutes remaining.

It seemed as though the momentum was with the Isles and they’d extend that streak to four games.

It didn’t happen.

Just 1:02 into overtime, Danny DeKeyser capitalized on a 3-on-2 that gave the Wings the 3-2 victory. Captain John Tavares was caught deep in Detroit’s end on the play, allowing the 3-on-2 to materialize.
