Isles-Caps will be a high-scoring, 7-game series and the winner will be…

The Islanders are just happy to be back in the postseason for the second time in the past eight seasons — or as coach Jack Capuano might say, “in the dance.” So don’t feel bad the team they’re dancing with is one of the most explosive offensive squads in the league.

The Isles bring their own firepower, and the four-game season series between the teams was rather even, with the Isles winning two games in overtime and the Capitals winning one in a shootout. The only lopsided affair was Washington’s 5-2 win back on Nov. 28, the second leg of a home-and-home.
