The Islanders think they’re snakebitten. They think they’re unlucky. They think they’ve been the recipient of unfortunate timing.
Even if they’re right, what they think matters little.
Because the team they ran out there looked totally overmatched while getting blown out by the red-hot Penguins, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon at Barclays Center. And whether the Isles like it or not, this is the team they’re taking into the playoffs — if they make it.
