Nothing. That's my answer. Michael Dal Colle does virtually nothing for the New York Islanders and I truly can't be convinced otherwise.
Last night early in the third period, when the team was struggling, Michael Dal Colle took a brutal hooking call. No, the Lightning wouldn't score but they would carry the momentum for the first five minutes or so of the period, and the Islanders were luckily bailed out by a stellar Semyon Varlamov.
Outside of the two-minute penalty, Michael Dal Colle was a nonfactor on the ice. He played 9:43, registered zero shots and one hit.
