NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Talk about making a bad impression.
Josh Ho-Sang, a supremely talented-yet controversial prospect for the Islanders, was sent down to Niagara of the OHL on Friday after showing up late to the beginning of training camp.
According to Newsday, his camp is over.
A former first-round pick, the 19-year-old forward wasn’t expected to make the Islanders’ opening-night roster, but he is viewed as one of the organization’s top prospects, along with defenseman Ryan Pulock and forward Michael Dal Colle. He earned rave reviews for his play at the club’s rookie camp back in July.
