Islanders reschedule snowed-out game against Flyers for April 10

The Islanders’ game against the Flyers that was postponed by the Jan. 23 snowstorm has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 10, at Barclays Center, the NHL announced.

That is the final day of the regular season and gives the Isles a new season finale, a night after they host the Sabres. The NHL playoffs begin the following Wednesday.

The postponement created a crunch for the Islanders, who were already scheduled to have 34 games in 69 days after last weekend’s All-Star break. Between the Nets, the circus and various college basketball events at Barclays Center, finding a free date to make up the Metro Division game was difficult and ultimately pushed it to the last possible date on the NHL regular-season calendar.
