Josh Ho-Sang is getting another opportunity with the Islanders.
The Islanders recalled the offensively-gifted 22-year-old forward, selected 28th overall in 2014, from Bridgeport (AHL) on Sunday and he joined the team for its practice at Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow. Goalie Christopher Gibson was re-assigned to Bridgeport.
Ho-Sang, often a lightning rod for attention because of his comments and actions, has two goals and 20 assists in 26 games this season for Bridgeport. He’s spent time with the Islanders in each of the past two seasons, compiling two goals and 10 assists in 22 games early last season and four goals and six assists in 21 games in 2016-17.
