Injuries have forced the Islanders to shuffle their roster in advance of their game against the Rangers on Thursday night at Barclays Center.
President/general manager Lou Lamoriello announced prior to the team’s optional morning skate at Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow that left wings Andrew Ladd (lower body) and Matt Martin (upper body) and center Casey Cizikas (lower body) all have been placed on injured reserve.
The Islanders recalled forwards Stephen Gionta and Michael Dal Colle, the fifth overall pick in 2014 who has played in just four NHL games, from AHL Bridgeport. Lamoriello said coach Barry Trotz would determine the lineup.
