Ilya Sorokin is probably the second most drama-filled prospect the New York Islanders have. The first is obviously Josh Ho-Sang but not too far behind is the Russian goalie who has put up video game numbers in the KHL.
Sorokin's KHL deal is set to expire after this season and there's a chance that he comes over to the Island, a pretty good chance. The thing that's keeping it from going from pretty good to great is CSKA's willingness to spend money.
According to The Hockey News, his KHL team is prepared to make one of the most lucrative offers In KHL history in order to keep Sorokin on that side of the Atlantic Ocean.
