Islanders' point streak ends with loss to Penguins

The Islanders got to the offensive zone. The Penguins just kept them from generating many dangerous chances once they got there.

So, the Islanders' eight-game point streak and three-game winning streak ended with a 4-1 loss on Thursday night in Pittsburgh. The teams play again on Saturday night as the Islanders conclude a four-game road trip in what could be a feisty game.

In all, they play six times this month. So far, the Islanders are 1-1-1 against their East Division rivals.

Tristan Jarry made 31 saves. The Islanders avoided their third shutout on Brock Nelson’s power-play goal at 15:39 of the third period.
