Islanders' plans in goal complicated after weird, troubling night for Robin Lehner

A playoff atmosphere, it wasn’t. The Islanders hosted the NHL’s worst team, the Ottawa Senators, on Tuesday night at NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum, and unlike most games there this season, many seats went unfilled.

Then things got more way interesting than anyone rooting for the home team wanted as the Islanders blew a two-goal third-period lead, allowing the Senators to tie the score at 4 with 4:40 left in regulation time before salvaging the game and moving back into a first-place tie by winning the shootout.

It was a weird and troubling night for one Islander in particular.
