Islanders-Panthers to be broadcast on WFAN or WCBS

The Islanders will have their playoff games for the first round broadcast on either WFAN 660 AM/101.9 FM or WCBS Newsradio 880, the team announced on Wednesday morning.

The broadcasts will start with Thursday night’s Game 1 in Florida against the Panthers on WCBS 880. The game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Islanders Radio Network broadcasters Chris King and Greg Picker will perform play-by-play and analyst duties.

“We are thrilled to partner with CBS RADIO to provide the Islanders with widespread exposure during the team’s Stanley Cup Playoff games,” Brett Yormark, CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, said in a statement.
