NEW YORK -- Goaltender Jonathan Bernier stopped 25 shots, and the Toronto Maple Leafs made two quick second-period goals stand up in a 3-1 win over the New York Islanders on Sunday night at Barclays Center.
Center Tyler Bozak, left winger James van Riemsdyk and former Islanders left winger Michael Grabner scored 1:40 apart for the Maple Leafs, who have won three of four and are 5-1-2 in their past eight games.
Bernier earned just his third win in 15 games for Toronto (13-14-7).
Islanders left winger Nikolay Kulemin scored his third goal of the season.
