Yesterday’s victory extended the Islanders’ point streak to six games while snapping the Bruins’ point streak at ten games. The Isles remain the only team so far this season to have taken down Boston in regulation.
They have tied the Capitals in standings points, but the Capitals have played one fewer game. The Islanders will play the Sabres in Buffalo tomorrow night and Tuesday night, assuming the Buffalo club will not be restricted by COVID-19 protocols.
