Just because something sounds like a good idea, doesn’t mean it is. Just look at the Brooklyn debacle.
The Islanders and BSE (Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment), the owners of Barclays Center, have 30 days after the end of the season to renegotiate the supposed “iron-clad” 25-year agreement the Islanders signed when they moved to Brooklyn last year. Although the clock is ticking, one of the parties will likely soon make a move. Playing the waiting game helps no one. This is not a match, plain and simple, and if there are ways to undo this mess, they must be examined.
