After a day to think about a frustrating loss to the New York Rangers, the Islanders are back in action on the road in St Louis. As things currently stand, the Blues are the best team in the Western Conference.
It's not going to be an easy matchup but the Isles are in a pretty good position to make a push in the Metropolitan Division standings.
Right now, they are the top wild card just two points behind Philadelphia for the third spot in the Division. Pittsburgh, who has slowed down of late (4-5-1 in their last 10) is just three points ahead of the Islanders in second.
