The New York Islanders made their first waivers dump of the season, with no surprises and very likely no players that other teams will claim:

- Grant Hutton
- Otto Koivula
- Paul LaDue
- Dmytro Timashov
- Mitchell Vande Sompel
- Parker Wotherspoon
That’s some AHL vets at forward, some overripe defensive prospects, the still sort of young-ish Koivula (who turned 23 this month) and 25-year-old Timashov, who has the most NHL experience of the group at 45 games. All are ultimately ticketed for the AHL, unless one is claimed or an injury scourge arrives.
