Islanders Kieffer Bellows scores on return to the ice

Bridgeport Sound Tigers coach Brent Thompson scratched Kieffer Bellows for the last two games in the hopes the New York Islanders first-round pick in 2016 could "reboot" his season.

With a goal and three points in 19 games before getting scratched, Bellows was on pace to score 12 points. Seven fewer than his disappointing 2018-19 AHL season. Before getting scratched, Bellows went 14 games without a point.

On Wednesday, Bellows was back in the lineup for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers as they faced the Springfield Thunderbirds. And Bellows responded.
