The New York Islanders will take on the Calgary Flames tonight in game three of a very important road trip. It remains to be seen if Ryan Pulock will make his debut tonight or, perhaps, coach Jack Capuano and others around the team are waiting for the right moment. If I had a guess, I’d say they wait until the game against the Edmonton Oilers, an interesting matchup if fellow Islanders’ first round pick Griffin Reinhart is also in the lineup for the Oilers.
Trade speculations are heating up, and last night, there were plenty of scouts at the Boston Bruins matchup with the Pittsburgh Penguins:
I wouldn’t chalk this up as “good news” necessarily, as Islanders’ scouts are more than likely at a lot of games, especially around this time of year and even more so when the Islanders are one or two pieces shy from making a serious run this post-season.
