I’m not sure, honestly, how to properly classify last night’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Florida Panthers that dropped the New York Islanders to 11-8-4 on the season and kept them entrenched in fourth place in the Metropolitan division.
Did they steal a point? Or did they lose a point?
Coming back from a 2-0 third period deficit was admirable, as Josh Bailey got a gratuitous deflection off Willie Mitchell at 8:39, just three minutes after Ryan Strome scored in his return to the team off a lovely feed from Mikhail Grabovski.
