Islanders hear the boos after getting drilled by Flyers again

Of all the nights, this was a bad one for the Islanders to lay an egg.

But that’s exactly what they did, spoiling Bill Torrey Appreciation Night when they got hammered by the Flyers, losing 5-2 on Saturday night at a disgruntled Coliseum.

The Islanders (39-22-7) were coming off an ugly but successful home-and-home sweep of the league-worst Senators, but their collective game was hardly where they wanted it over the past three weeks.
