The Islanders closed the season with their sixth straight win, a 4-2 triumph over the Senators at Barclays Center on Sunday. Brock Nelson and Jason Chimera each scored his 20th goal of the season and Andrew Ladd and Anders Lee chipped in goals as the Islanders finished the season with 94 points, one point out of the playoffs.
Thomas Greiss made 32 saves to help send the Islanders into the offseason on a strong note despite their being eliminated from playoff contention on Saturday night when the Maple Leafs won.
Lee finished the season with a team-high 34 goals and Josh Bailey finished with a team-high 43 assists.
