Islanders Establish Longest Point Streak in Franchise History at 16 Games

For the first time in franchise history, the New York Islanders have picked up a point in 16 straight games. None of the Al Arbour dynasty era teams were able to accomplish this feat, just those "due for a regression" Barry Trotz Islanders. Unbelievable.

It's been 41 days now without a regulation loss, going back to October 11, and the Islanders are 15-0-1 over that span. Somehow they still aren't in first, thanks to Washington, but they are knocking on the doorstep with games in hand.

Since the beginning of the steak, the Islanders have outscored their opponents 57-37 (+20).
