We've all had the same dream. Growing up we all wanted to skate in the NHL and score a goal. For some, that dream comes true fairly quickly. Mario Lemieux scores on his first shot on his first shift in his first game. For others, it takes a little longer. For Islanders Cole Bardreau, he had to wait until he was 26 years old before he would score his first NHL goal.
Bardreau was never drafted. He'd make his way to the NHL the hard way.
After four years at Cornell University, Fairport, NY native played five seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
