MONTREAL – Jean-Gabriel Pageau’s first multi-point game of the season for the Islanders came as he logged more than his average ice time of 15:11. Granted, just 28 seconds above his average. But it’s a start for Barry Trotz.
"This year, I’ve sort of lost him a little bit in terms of his role because we’ve added some pieces," the coach said before Pageau scored his first goal of the season in Thursday night’s 6-2 win at Montreal.
"He’s gone from playing both the power play and penalty kill to just the penalty kill and his minutes have been reduced.
