A trade has happened! Although it wasn't for the New York Islanders, but rather their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport. The Sound Tigers sent forward John Stevens to the Utica Comets (AHL affiliate for the Vancouver Canucks).
Stevens was an undrafted player who spent four years playing for Northeastern University - where he was the captain in his final year - before signing a two-year entry-level deal with the Sound Tigers in March of 2017. Since 2017, Stevens has played 117 games for the Sound Tigers, scoring 32 points.

In return for Stevens, the Sound Tigers received "future considerations".
