Islanders, arena ownership satisfied with Coliseum, Barclays postseason split

The decision to play the first round of the playoffs at NYCB’s Live Nassau Coliseum is proof that Islanders co-owner Jon Ledecky and BSE Global are working together to do what is best for fans because the lease calls for all playoff games to be played in Brooklyn, said Brett Yormark,CEO of BSE, which runs the Barclays Center and the Coliseum.

“It’s indicative of where this relationship is today,” Yormark said. “As a group we want what’s best for the fans, we want what’s best for the team. Kicking off the playoffs this year in Long Island just made so much sense.
