Islanders' Anders Lee suffers fractured leg

The Islanders’ list of walking wounded seems to be ever-expanding. Add Matt Martin and Anders Lee to the list.

Martin sat out Thursday night’s game with an upper-body injury that isn’t considered serious. He skated at Madison Square Garden on Thursday morning but was held out for precautionary reasons, with the Isles already in playoff position and some players in need of rest.

Lee took Johnny Boychuk’s slap shot off his foot in the first period Thursday night, tried to play a couple more shifts and then was held out the rest of the game.

The Isles already were without regulars Cal Clutterbuck (lower body), Brian Strait (upper body), Mikhail Grabovski (concussion symptoms) and J-F Berube (lower body).
