After giving up an early goal, the New York Islanders roared back with goals from Anders Lee, Derick Brassard, Ross Johnston, Ryan Pulock, and Mathew Barzal to get their seventh straight win, the longest streak in the NHL. Cole Bardreau notched his first NHL point, Pulock his first goal of the season, and Barzal retook the team goals lead. Brassard also extended his goal streak to three games, and Brock Nelson picked up his last point of this October.
Just over a minute into the first, Jakub Voracek scored to give the Flyers the lead, after Derick Brassard turned over the puck.
