Islanders 3*, Flyers 2 (SO): Beauvillier’s pair leads Isles

This was kind of a weird one! The Islanders seemed pretty reluctant to shoot on a goalie who had been objectively the worst in the league as of late, only taking 10 shots through the first two periods. Anthony Beauvillier was able to make the best of that, though, scoring in the first and second to give the Isles a two goal lead.

Claude Giroux scored twice in the third to tie up the game, and in the shootout, Mat Barzal grabbed the winner. But it was nerve-wracking along the way!

First Period

Ross Johnston and Sam Morin fought 3 minutes in, both going off for fighting majors.
